Day 1: Marrakesh to Dades Gorge
Your adventure begins as we leave Marrakesh and head toward the breathtaking Atlas Mountains. We’ll wind our way through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, taking in the stunning views, before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a famous filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, where you’ll visit the Atlas Film Studios and a local kasbah. Then, we’ll drive through the Valley of Roses, known for its annual rose festival, before reaching Dades Gorge. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 2: Dades Gorge to Merzouga Desert
Today, we’ll explore the dramatic Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon beloved by hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. From there, we’ll drive through the lush Ziz Valley to Erfoud, a charming oasis town known as the gateway to the Sahara and famous for its fossil workshops. You can even pick up some unique fossil souvenirs! Next, we’ll visit the lively souk in Rissani before heading to Merzouga. At the edge of the desert, you’ll swap your vehicle for a camel and ride into the dunes with experienced guides. The evening will be magical—spent in a desert camp under the stars, enjoying a traditional Berber dinner and music around a campfire.
Day 3: Exploring Merzouga Desert
Today is all about soaking in the beauty of the Sahara. You can choose to explore the desert on camelback or by 4×4, visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music, and simply relax amidst the dunes. As the day ends, you’ll witness a stunning desert sunset, followed by another night of Berber hospitality, delicious food.
Day 4: Merzouga to Fes
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes—it’s a moment you’ll never forget. Afterward, you’ll ride camels back to a nearby hotel to freshen up and enjoy breakfast. Day 5: Fes to Casablanca
