Discover dramatic landscapes like Todra Gorge and Dades Valley’s “monkey toes” rock formations, then immerse yourself in Marrakesh’s vibrant souks and iconic landmarks.
Day 1: Casablanca to Fes
Your private tour starts with a pickup from your hotel in Casablanca. We’ll explore the city’s main cultural highlights before heading to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a charming riad or hotel.
Day 2: Guided Tour of Fes
Today, we’ll dive into the heart of Fes, the oldest city in Morocco. You’ll wander through its narrow streets and visit iconic sites like the Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish quarter (Mellah), and the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. We’ll also explore the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit local cooperatives and enjoy a panoramic view of the medina before returning to your riad for the night.
Day 3: Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, we’ll leave Fes and drive through the Mid-Atlas region, stopping in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Next, we’ll visit the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can see and even feed the Barbary apes. We’ll continue to Midelt for lunch, then follow the Ziz River through the stunning Ziz Valley. After passing through Erfoud and Rissani, where we’ll explore the local market, we’ll arrive in Merzouga and spend the night at a local hotel.
Day 4: Exploring Merzouga Desert
Today is all about the Sahara! We’ll trade our 4×4 for camels and explore the Erg Chebbi dunes, experiencing the nomadic Berber way of life. You’ll visit the “black village” of Khamlia, where you’ll enjoy a performance by Gnawan musicians, followed by a traditional Berber pizza lunch in Rissani. In the afternoon, you’ll ride camels into the dunes to watch the sunset. The evening will be magical—spent in a desert camp under the stars, enjoying a traditional tagine dinner, mint tea, and Berber music.
Day 5: Merzouga to Dades Gorge
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride camels back to the village. After breakfast, we’ll drive to Tinghir and visit Todra Gorge, the tallest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. You can take a short hike here before we continue to Dades Gorge, where you’ll see unique rock formations called “monkey toes.” You’ll spend the night in a local hotel or riad.
Day 6: Dades Gorge to Marrakesh
After breakfast, we’ll drive through the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” toward Ouarzazate. We’ll stop in Kalaat Mgouna, known for its rose products, and have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we’ll visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach Marrakesh, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional riad or hotel.
Day 7: Guided Tour of Marrakesh
Today, we’ll explore Marrakesh, the “Red City.” You’ll visit iconic sites like the bustling Jemaa el-Fna square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. We’ll also explore the Menara Gardens, the Majorelle Gardens, and the modern Gueliz district. The day ends back at your riad or hotel.
Day 8: Marrakesh to Casablanca
Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll have some free time to explore more of Marrakesh or enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we’ll transfer you to Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport, where your unforgettable Moroccan adventure comes to an end.
