Day 1: Airport to Casablanca
Your tour starts with a transfer from the airport to your hotel in Casablanca. Depending on your arrival time, we might explore highlights like the Hassan II Mosque, Moroccan Mall, or nearby beaches.
Day 2: Casablanca to Fes via Meknes and Volubilis
We’ll finish any missed sights in Casablanca, then head to Meknes, a former imperial city surrounded by vineyards. After a brief stop, we’ll visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you can explore the mosaics and ruins. We’ll then continue to Fes for the night.
Day 3: Exploring Fes
Today, we’ll dive into Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital. You’ll visit the medieval medina, Nejjarine Fountain, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque (exterior only). After lunch in the medina, we’ll explore the souks and Fes Jdid (New Fes) before returning to your riad.
Day 4: Fes to Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” then continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, famous for its fossils. We’ll stop in Rissani to explore its lively souk before arriving in Merzouga, where you’ll spend the night near the desert dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert and Camel Trek
Today, we’ll drive to the edge of the desert and switch to camels (optional) for a 90-minute ride into the dunes. You’ll watch the sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars.
Day 6: Merzouga to Dades Gorge
Wake up early to catch the sunrise, then ride camels back to Merzouga for breakfast. We’ll drive through Rissani and Tinghir to Todra Gorge, the tallest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch, we’ll continue through the Dades Valley, stopping to see the “Monkey Toes” rock formations, and spend the night in the valley.
Day 7: Dades Gorge to Marrakesh
We’ll drive through the Valley of Roses to Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa.” You’ll visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous film location. Then, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakesh for the night.
Day 8: Exploring Marrakesh
Today, we’ll explore Marrakesh’s highlights, including Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, souks, palaces, and museums. We’ll also visit Gueliz, the Menara Gardens, and the Majorelle Museum. After lunch, you’ll have free time to explore or relax before returning to your riad.
Day 9: Day Trip to Essaouira
We’ll take a day trip to Essaouira, a charming coastal city with 18th-century ramparts and a relaxed medina. After exploring, we’ll return to Marrakesh for your final night.
Day 10: Marrakesh to Casablanca Airport
